Don’t you dare miss me
You threw away the key
Into the lake
For my sake
To have to miss you
Haven’t got a clue
Addicted no doubt
Stop at a reflect of a pout
Scream and shout
I know you hear me
Up stream I’m keeping afloat
Only to find a boat
Full of broken fears
A vivid spark appears
With it a key
The stream is leading off to sea
Pack my bags for one last time
Goodbye wishes to be a past time
Miles away but in heart close
What now do I propose?
Lips lingering over yours
The thought alone is adored
Packing my bags for one last time
Away for what feels like a lifetime
These thoughts I have yet to speak
Hold my breathe before I become weak
I pack my bags for one last time
Turning in for a pit stop
My heart closing shop
Reopened for a reno
Been hurt before we all know
Stomp those thoughts away
Be together maybe someday
For now I’ll just ponder thoughts
Ignore the sound of the shots
That were left behind
Your name now headlined
Sparkle in the eyes
Tears in yours dries
Forgot now why there were worries
The snow comes down in flurries
Time is running out
Act quick before it’s time to shout
Here to stay no doubt
Smile day in day out
Recognizing the pain
As only a pathway
To what is yet to come
This is who we’ve become

He was such a champ about taking a few photos with me. By a few I mean about fifty, only to get a few decent ones. 😆 He told me these were for his girlfriend, but I know he’ll be using them too.

What I really like about this piece is that it was completed in two different years of my life. The background I painted at Shambhala Music Festival in 2016. (That place fuels my artistic fire….I’ll write an article on the magic vibes there one day.) The owl, which Shambhala uses as their logo in a partial way, I painted as soon as I got home from the festival in 2017. Yes I went two years in a row. I’m addicted to the vibes, energy, and like minded people that attend. Not to mention the music. BUT. Getting off topic. At the time of painting the background I had no idea what this piece was going to become. A year later after I came home from the fesitval, I found this piece tucked away in the back of my canvas stash. What a perfect time to pull it out, I thought. Remembering where I had started this piece, it was no question what I wanted to complete it with. My love for Shambhala. ♡
